Nancy’s GoFundMe Reaches Halfway Mark

By Nancy Spannaus

March 29, 2018—The news today is good: I’m taking Hamilton Versus Wall Street to the New York Book Expo at the end of May!  Thanks to the generosity of almost two dozen of you readers, my GoFundMe campaign has raised half of the $3500 required to pay for the unique promotional opportunity.  I will make the necessary down-payment today.

To those of you who contributed, let me say again: thank you, thank you, and thank you again.

The fact that we could do this in two weeks is very encouraging, as we look forward to finishing the job before the end of April, when the final payment is due.

There is some uptick in activity around promoting the book on other fronts. The first review has been published, on the Africa and the World blog run by Africa expert Lawrence Freeman.  My first book-signing event has been scheduled for April 7 here in my home town. It’s sponsored by the Lovettsville Historical Society and Museum, which has the ability to generate extensive publicity in the northern Virginia/West Virginia/western Maryland area.* Due to local interest alone, I have already had to put in a second order of books to have on hand to sell.

The need for educating the nation on the real Hamiltonian American System demands that the book reach a much wider audience, especially policy-makers. Our country continues to go in the wrong direction, and a shift in the direction of Hamilton’s policies is crucial. That is why it is critical that those of you reading this post spread the word, and gear up efforts to raise the rest of the funds required.

It would be very helpful if you would post reviews on the relevant bookseller sites, such as Amazon, to generate more interest. You could contact your local book store, asking them to carry the book. And if you are in an area not too far from my northern Virginia home, consider setting up a book signing.  With a little notice, I can travel.

Grateful as I am for your support so far, I still need your help.  If you can give again, that would be great. If not, please contact your friends and other Hamilton lovers to contribute (and buy the book).
